Chrysler took home the "Car of Texas" and "Mid-size Car of Texas" awards. This is just one of the many awards that the Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep lineup took home, having received. and it added to the list of honors that FCA US took home during this year's awards. Additionally honors given to this lineup include Full-size Sedan, Performance Coupe, and Best New Features for the Dodge brand. The Jeep brand also won the award for Performance Utility of Texas.

TAWA gathers every spring to test and vote for the best vehicles on the market. In order to choose the winners, TAWA comprised a voting jury of 52 journalists. The competition between vehicles was close, and there were 54 cars up for a series of awards. The journalists pushed the cars to their limits, testing them out on the Texas Motor Speedway.
