What Does the 2024 Dodge Charger Look Like?
Both the SixPack and Daytona variants of the all-new Dodge Charger will be available in either a two-door coupe body or a four-door sedan, allowing drivers to decide which is best for them. The overall design of the 2024 Dodge Charger captures the spirit of Dodge, America's muscle car brand, while simultaneously propelling the brand into the future. For example, the 2024 Charger brings back the Fratzog triangle logo, which hasn't been seen on a Dodge models since 1976. However, the Fratzog emblem on the grille and rear decklid are illuminated by LED lighting for a modern twist. The classic emblem is also found on the wheel's center caps. The electrified Daytona lineup stands out from the SixPack lineup with a front R-Wing, inspired by the original Charger Daytona models. The R-Wing is designed to provide a unique front profile while also optimizing aerodynamics and downforce. Inside the all-new Charger, the most notable similarity between it and the previous generation is the driver-centric dashboard layout. An iconic feature from Dodge, the center stack is tilted slightly left providing the driver with more of a cockpit than a cabin. For the most part, that's where the similarities end. The steering wheel is redesigned with a race-inspired flat top/bottom design. Behind it is a standard 10.25-inch fully digital gauge cluster, while one spanning 16 inches comes standard on the Daytona Scat Pack. Atop the center stack of all 2024 Charger models is a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen with a horizontal configuration. The center console features a modernized "pistol-grip" shifter and the ignition push-button. Demonic Red and Black Nappa leather seating are optional for the lineup, while black cloth/leatherette seats come standard.
2024 Dodge Charger Powertrain Options
Like its design, the Charger's powertrain lineup is completely overhauled for the 2024 model year. The Charger SixPack lineup, with availability beginning in the first quarter of 2025, is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. The Standard Output SixPack models pump out an impressive 420 horsepower, while the High Output models lay down 550 horsepower for even more excitement. On the electric end of the powertrain spectrum is the Dodge Daytona lineup, which is already being produced. The Daytona lineup features an electric motor on each axle powered by a 100.5-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The 2024 Charger Daytona lineup includes the R/T trim, which features a Direct Connection Stage 1 kit, allowing for 496 horsepower, while the Scat Pack trim lays down a whopping 670 horsepower with a Direct Connection Stage 2 kit. The Scat Pack trim provides Hellcat Redeye-like performance with a 3.3-second 0-60 time and a quarter-mile time of 11.5 seconds! Finally, all 2024 Charger models come standard with all-wheel drive to maximize traction.
How Safe is the 2024 Dodge Charger?
When redesigning the 2024 Charger, Dodge made the wise decision to revamp its safety, giving it more than 100 standard and available safety features. Many of these features are driver assistance technologies, many of which are in place to prevent a collision from happening in the first place. Now standard across the entire Charger lineup, you'll find driver aids including drowsy driver detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection, traffic sign recognition, active lane management, blindspot monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and rear cross-path detection. Meanwhile, Dodge offers optional driver assistance technologies that include turn signal active blindspot view, front/rear/side distance warning, ParkSense-based front camera activation, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and front tire to curb to aid in parallel parking.
