Get Maintenance for your Grand Cherokee at Junction Auto Sales!

While your Grand Cherokee will not last forever, if you keep up with the regular maintenance, you can keep it as young and healthy as possible. If you drive a Grand Cherokee around the Chardon, Cleveland, or Painesville area, our team here at Junction Auto Sales has created a maintenance schedule that will help you keep your Grand Cherokee running at peak condition as long as possible. You need to know that when you bring your Jeep in for service, you can use this fantastic guide. Remember that this is a guideline and that your actual maintenance schedule will depend on how often you drive and the kind of terrain you go over. Of course, once you're done reading, you can make an appointment with our experts for your Grand Cherokee!

8,000 Miles

Your first bit of maintenance will occur around the 8,000-mile or six-month mark. You will need to change the engine oil and the oil filter. You will also need tour experts to rotate your tires to prevent them from wearing irregularly. You're going to want to repeat getting your oil changed every 8,000 miles and tire rotations every 16,000 miles after this service. It also might be a good idea to have our technicians here at Junction Auto Sales inspect things like the CV joints and exhaust system, but servicing these systems at this point is probably unnecessary

16,000 Miles

At this point, you'll want to change your oil and oil filter again. If you tend to take your Grand Cherokee off the road, which it is made for, make sure that our experts at Junction Auto Sales check your engine air filter. In addition, get your air conditioning air filter replaced and have your first check of the exhaust system done at this time if you have not already done so.

32,000 Miles

Once you reach the 32,000-mile mark, you'll want to replace the engine air cleaner filter, spark plugs, and air conditioning filter. If you own a Grand Cherokee with four-wheel disk brakes, have those adjusted to ensure your brakes work correctly and at optimum capacity. Be sure to have our experts at Junction Auto Sales check your brake linings and suspensions, and do this once every two years.

64,000 Miles

For the 64,000-mile service, you'll want to have everything done at the 32,000-mile mark but mix in some other things as well. You will need to replace your Grand Cherokee's spark plugs, rear-drive assembly fluid, power transfer unit, and automatic transmission fluid. Replacing your automatic transmission fluid is especially important if you tend to tow a lot of material around.

96,000 Miles

At this point, you have probably had your Grand Cherokee for around six years, which means you probably know your Grand Cherokee inside and out. However, you need to take a few more steps at this point. You're probably going to need to replace the brake linings and change your manual transmission fluid at this point. Changing your manual transmission is especially important if your car is frequently experiencing extreme temperatures, desert operations, off-road, or driving at sustained speeds.
